Red-and-white striped 50’s-style dress
This was my favorite thing in the store and only $25. Fit me like a glove and was super-flattering, with a full skirt and fitted waist.
I’m trying to get Sartorial Sisters started up again. I slacked off, but I feel like the world needs more down-to-earth stylings as opposed to thrifted-this and thrifted-that. I buy clothes from Target—and so can anyone else!
[Edit: I mean no harm by the above to all style bloggers out there. It’s just (and I’m quoting an e-mail I wrote to sarazucker here) tough to copy people’s style if what they are wearing is entirely vintage, thrifted or handmade. It seems almost a crime now to wear anything retail—which is sad, because that’s what is accessible. Trust me: i like thrifting as much as the next person, but it’s frustrating to see an outfit, love a piece and be unable to replicate it.
