A simple formula for a happy life.
If you hurt someone intentionally or unintentionally, you should apologize. If you can’t apologize in person, send a note or an e-mail.
Not apologizing, pretending something didn’t happen, acting fake and moving on in the hopes that it will go away is pure cowardice and for me, completely unacceptable.
If you do not have the self-awareness to see when you have hurt another human being or the courage to rectify that wrong then I don’t need you in my life.
Many people wonder why their interpersonal relationships are so stressful and so roller-coaster-like. It’s surprising how few individuals apologize and actually mean it. Apologizing when you recognize you have wronged someone brings you a kind of peace and joy that is hard to find elsewhere.
