I’m a bad blogger…
Because my most favorite and special memories happened without a camera around.
…But I guess that makes me really good at living my life sometimes free of the confines of, here, record this! Make sure you snap this! Oh, we’re kissing! Let’s take a pic! We’re eating! Quick, get the food before I inhale it! Here, take one of me “casually” strolling through this park as if I didn’t know you were there!
I’m as narcissistic as the rest of the Myspace-then-Facebook-then-Tumblr crowd (who doesn’t love seeing a great photo of themselves, come on, don’t lie), but occasionally I’ve just got to PUT THE CAMERA DOWN.
Sometimes Brandon and I are eating dinner, or I’m cooking, or we’re on the couch piled up under blankets together, and I think, gah, I really should take a photo for my blog/Twitter/whatever.
Silly! Come on! You’re snuggled up in a man’s arms! PUT THE CAMERA DOWN.
What! You’re going to let that amazing food sit one second longer so you can get the perfect shot? PUT THE CAMERA DOWN.
(And that’s why I’m a bad blogger.)
xoxo
P.S. Just to clarify, this is a reminder to myself—not a jab at anyone at all! I love seeing YOUR photos! I just want to monitor my own photographic compulsions.
