My first experience with clogs was my mom telling me how my dad used to hate when she’d wear clogs back in the late 70’s and how he still hates the style to this day.

And…that lack of clogness in my life rubbed off. I don’t really like the way they look—but, as with all things, they are coming back. I open any magazine: clogs everywhere! Every page!

Is this a good thing? Maybe! The new styles are more modern and chic and look more like platform sandals than anything else (see the BCBG pair Tanya posted here).

If you’d like to try out the trend, I’d suggest buying a less expensive pair since they may fall by the wayside come 2011 (I’d even bet on it).
