So depressing how true this is.


Hate to break it to you guys, but Canada isn’t this uniform land of Liberal peaceniks - most of Alberta (save for Edmonton - a little dot of blue in a sea of red) is really conservative. The map holds true for most of the urban areas , but not necessarily the rural ones (and they make up most of the country).

I’m Canadian and 90% of my extended family are conservatives but—as far as I know—they’re all pro-Obama/Democratic party given that the only thing stronger than their conservatism is their hatred of George W. Bush, and thus by default John McCain.
As a disclaimer, the entire country of Canada is not related to me (shocking), so I don’t pretend to speak for a nation. I am confident enough to speak for Nova Scotia, though, because I’m fairly certain that I am related to nearly everyone in that province. Hi Bridgewater!
