I’ve been wearing this nail polish since high school. I saw it on my friend’s toes and went to Wal-Mart (yep, Wal-Mart) as soon as I could to grab a bottle for $1.50 or however much they were charging at the time.
Let me give you an idea of how amazing this color is. First, it’s a dusky, sexy pink. You’ll need several coats, but once you’ve got it on…it’s perfect. Second, it looks equally good on hands or feet. Third, it reminds me of January Jones’ ubiquitous pink shade she sports on Mad Men.
There are probably a million more shades like this that are better quality and go on in fewer coats, but I can’t give it up.
Love My Nails in “Palest Mauve”, $2-4, depending on where you buy

Have you tried Revlon’s new Just Bitten lip stain?
I used their Forbidden color and it came out like this!
(Sorry for the white-washed look—there’s a lot of natural light in my office and Photobooth was not impressed!)
Forbidden is kind of a pinky-nude that looks like a deeper version of my natural lip color. The stain is long-lasting and the balm moisturizes nicely—goes on smooth and not too thick. The line retails for about $6-9, depending on where you buy. (It’s available at most drugstores, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.)
I’m a huge fan of lip stains. I love how they give you a wash of color without the goopy feeling lip gloss sometimes has and without the super-saturated, fake-looking color that can come with lipstick.

Did you know Piperlime has an awesome Girl On A Budget section?
I didn’t! Sam sent me the link a few days ago and I was so excited to see that they’ve put all their under $100 items in one place.
The items that I’d look for in this section would be the under $100 denim and the well-made, mid-range priced boots.
Here are a few of my picks:
Skinny Classique Jeans, $78
Jack by BB Dakota Alex Coat, $85
MM Couture Sequin Vest, $59
Big Buddha “Ivy” Handbag, $90
Rocket Dog “Rideon” Boots, $70
Nine West “Casilda” Boots, $99

If you are an avid Target shopper, you probably already know this tip, but for those of you who may not know: if you shop in Target stores, you will ALWAYS find better deals than you will on their website.
Case in point: these adorable striped espadrille flats. Online, these cost about $17, but guess what?
I found them for (wait for it) $4.96 at my local Target store. But, let’s keep some perspective: even $17 is a pretty sweet deal.
Mossimo “Ocarina” Striped Espadrille Flats, $17 ($5 in-stores)
P.S. Everyone has their Target “magic number,” or the amount of money that you spend in Target no matter what. I go in for toilet paper and I come out with mascara, plates, dish soap, candles and towels. Straight-up money trap, that’s all it is. My magic number is $40. How about you?

I have my eye on an army jacket for fall solely because of Olivia Palermo on The City. I’ve already envisioned all the ways I can wear it: with black leggings, black skinny jeans, regular jeans, chinos, stripes, wedges, boots…I could go on and on.
Here are four army jacket options for less than $70. My personal fav is far left, for only $29.
Windsor Safari Jacket, $29
Delias Military Jacket, $70
Urban Renewal Army Jacket, $48
Windsor Army Green Jacket, $25

One of your must-have items for fall should definitely be a pair of jeggings. The slim-cut look of leggings with the versatility of denim and the comfort of a pair of pajama pants. I promise—you’ll never go back to regular jeans again.
Bonus: jeggings are cheaper than traditional denim too. Here’s five pairs under $25!

Sailor knot bracelets are a HUGE summer accessory. To me, they scream beach, salt water, sun, wavy hair, ice cream, seafood, fries, soft towels, bikinis—all the good stuff.
But how awesome is this spin-off: a sailor knot necklace!
Wear with your favorite striped dress (maybe this one?), a floppy hat and slightly-worn flip flops and you can pretend you’re at the beach, even if you’re not.

You know how you have a few dresses that you can always rely on? They work in the winter and the summer, they work for going out with friends or for brunch on the weekend and you can always pull it out of your closet and feel good wearing it?
This is that kind of dress. And it’s only $15.50. Wear with your favorite wedges and a summer scarf, or with flip flops and a long necklace. In the winter, try gray tights and slouchy brown boots. For less than the price of 4 Starbucks lattes, you’ll have a year-round wardrobe favorite.

I received this bamboo cutting board as a wedding gift and it is one of the few wedding gifts that I use every single day.
I love having a cutting board out on the shelf so it’s handy and within reach. I don’t want to dig around in a drawer for a cutting board when I’m trying to juggle tomatoes and garlic cloves in my hands. This one looks great sitting out and cleans up in the dishwasher, so you don’t have to do it by hand.
It’s on sale right now at Crate & Barrel (until July 4, I believe) for $13 and I highly recommend it if you do a lot of cooking!
