It’s hard to find floral-print flats that aren’t too twee. These flats aren’t registering too high on the twee-o-meter and they also have a pretty shape (I like the subtle pointed toe) and a cushioned sole.

Can’t bring yourself to spend $150+ on this trend? If you’re like me, I’ve been hunting over the past several weeks for a super affordable version of the leopard-print loafer trend and stumbled upon these for only $26.
Besides loving the price, I love that they are slip-ons (essential, when it’s getting harder to reach my feet) and will go with jeans, cozy sweaters and scarves when the weather gets colder around these parts.

If you are an avid Target shopper, you probably already know this tip, but for those of you who may not know: if you shop in Target stores, you will ALWAYS find better deals than you will on their website.
Case in point: these adorable striped espadrille flats. Online, these cost about $17, but guess what?
I found them for (wait for it) $4.96 at my local Target store. But, let’s keep some perspective: even $17 is a pretty sweet deal.
Mossimo “Ocarina” Striped Espadrille Flats, $17 ($5 in-stores)
P.S. Everyone has their Target “magic number,” or the amount of money that you spend in Target no matter what. I go in for toilet paper and I come out with mascara, plates, dish soap, candles and towels. Straight-up money trap, that’s all it is. My magic number is $40. How about you?

I just had a pair of navy ballet flats come in the mail (they looked black online!) and I’ve having trouble matching them with anything colours other than black and white. What do you think I could wear with them..? P.S. You and your husband are such a model-esque duo! You do such an amazing job with this blog - thank you for filling my dashboard with awesomeness everyday =]

Aww, thanks! :)
I have a pair of navy flats too that I used to avoid because I was never sure what to wear them with, but now I wear them with everything I’d wear black or tan/brown flats with. Navy has turned into my favorite neutral! And don’t be afraid to wear navy flats with denim (avoid matching colors exactly: a lighter denim with a dark navy is a example of what to look for).
Here’s an outfit similar to what I wear with my navy flats!
Forever 21 Boatneck Striped Tee, $11
AE Jeans, $40
Nila Hobo Purse, $40
Monsoon Anchor Bracelet, $12

    Rainy Day Giveaway!

    RAINY DAY GIVEAWAY

(Please ignore the giant cut on my foot. It got caught in our glass front door of doom.)

Rollasoles are genius. They sent me a pair to try and I’ve been toting them all over DC with their nifty little carrying system. (See below.)

So, they come in a little box, and within the box is a bag.

And within the bag are your ballet flats!

They actually have Rollasoles vending machines in clubs (a friend told me that she got a pair in a Miami club), so when you slip off your heels, you can put them in the attached bag and loop it over your hand, like a clutch.

Although I appreciate the club-friendliness of such an item, I find the real benefit in my daily commute to work. I have a lot of walking to do, and I certainly don’t want to walk for blocks in platform heels, so it’s handy to have ballet flats ready to go in my purse if I start to get a blister. They retail for only $10 (!), so they won’t break the bank if you don’t win a pair in this giveaway. :)

    GIVEAWAY DETAILS

You can win a pair of Rollasoles!

    HOW TO ENTER

    • Leave a comment on this post explaining your most uncomfortable shoe disaster.

You can enter this giveaway until Sunday, May 16 at midnight.

The winner will be randomly selected and announced Monday, May 17!

    GOOD LUCK! :D

Hi. I need you. I need cute but dressy flat shoes or sandals that can be worn with a nice dress for spring. The catch: I wear a size 11 (sometimes 12, oh lord) and some ballet flats look like clown shoes unless I wear them with a flared jean or trouser. This is a challenge. I totally feel like a giant beast when I wear a heel next to my exact-same-height dude (not even an inch to work with here). Peep toe some-such maybe? HELP!
I have the same problem! I have really long, narrow feet and in most flats, I feel like I’m walking around on snowshoes or something.
Here are a few tips for finding flats that flatter bigger feet:
Peep-toe flats are always best. Also, even if they have a teeny, tiny little heel, it’s better than flats that are completely flush with the ground.
The lower the cut on the sides of the flat, the more flattering the flats. For instance, a round-toe flat with low-cut sides will actually make your feet look smaller!
Pointy-toe flats are harder to pull off. If you must try pointy-toe, go for a wider pointy-toe instead of a long and thin point.
Here are a few styles I found in your size(s) and all are less than $100!
Fossil “Amanda” Flat, $68
Seychelles “Sophia” Flat, $80
REPORT “Kimball” Flat, $50
Steve Madden “Florale” Flat, $70
Steve Madden “Krowwn” Flat, $50
BC Footwear “Chariot” Flat, $30
Nine West “Fascinate” Flat, $59
P.S. Love you Jenna!

For the girl who has everything, try these Kate Spade flats that have—and this is insanely cute—a gift-style bow on the toe. Appropriate for any occasion, but especially Christmas. A little pricey, but less so than other Kate Spade shoe offerings.
So cute, right?
Kate Spade “Fiona” (also in green/turquoise and purple/red), $95
