Heartbeat!

Today we got to hear the little nugget’s heartbeat at the doctor’s office. :) It was a great day.

- H&M MAMA Blouse
- Michael Kors Watch
- H&M MAMA Jeans
- Target Wedges
This is one of the comfiest outfits I’ve worn yet. I love that the top doesn’t look too “maternity” and has lots of extra room for later. These jeans were an awesome find! Only $10 in the sale rack at H&M. My mom and I were shopping for some maternity stuff and she was kind enough to get me a few essentials. I hadn’t even THOUGHT about maternity underwear. (Thanks for the tip, mom!)
I’m still able to fit into a few of my pants, but they’re getting pretty snug and uncomfortable. My jeggings are still good to go, but these maternity jeans! Geez! Why didn’t someone tell me about these earlier? They would make PERFECT Thanksgiving pants.

See a few more snaps after the jump.
Graduation weekend

My sister graduated from college this weekend and our whole family got together to celebrate. It was a treat to see my grandparents and my aunt and to relax together on the deck while my dad grilled yummy food for lunch.

I wore a $35 dress from the H&M Conscious Collection and Old Navy sandals—it was a comfy, light outfit for the warm afternoon sun.

Later my mom surprised me with a new set of paper dolls to add to my extensive childhood collection:

She knows me well!
I hope that all of you who are graduating have a great celebration, safe travels and enjoy the relaxation while it lasts! :)

Apologies if you’ve already seen this, but my friend Devon tweeted me to say that “Overnight the H&M website became amazing!”
Disbelieving, I scooted on over there to find that they have FINALLY begun to itemize their overwhelming inventory in an e-commerce format. (Probably in preparation for their end of year online shopping launch for the US—although this website overhaul suggests that perhaps it may come sooner than that?)
This is great news for my closet, bad news for my wallet and AWESOME NEWS for this blog, since I can now feature H&M items in fashion posts/collages!
Lanvin for H&M!

Wondering what to wear your awesome new pieces from Lanvin for H&M with? They are a bit tricky to pair up with accessories or other pieces already in your closet. I chose three of the items I felt would be the most difficult to translate into wearable looks and came up with looks you can replicate affordably.

1. Lanvin for H&M Dress, $249
2. Kendra Scott Earrings, $74
3. Paris Hilton “Destiny” Heels, $95
4. Pret-a-beaute Ring, $71

1. Lanvin for H&M Jacket, $149
2. BDG Cigarette Jeans, $54
3. J. Crew Navy Tissue Tee, $33
4. Joan & David Oxfords, $100

1. Lanvin for H&M Dress, $199
2. Forever 21 Jacket, $33
3. Steve Madden Annton Wedges, $100
4. ModCloth Tights, $35
Have you bought any pieces from Lanvin for H&M yet? What do you think of them?

Thank you so much for posting this! Making my shopping list now!

Do you get H&M’s email newsletter? I clicked on it this morning and was immediately bombarded by things I HAVE TO HAVE.
So many knits. So many amazing, chunky, warm sweaters. (And cat earmuffs. See them? Bottom left.) If I had everything in this little knit collection above, I’d be set for the whole season. Oh, H&M—why do you do this to me?!
Neutral with a chance of leopard.

I rarely wear this dress for some reason, but yesterday I decided to give it another chance. Verdict: I will be wearing it again!
(I remembered why I don’t wear it often when I saw how see-through it is without a slip. Eek!)
It’s a good layering dress and works more casual or dressed up and has the prettiest neckline. But, thank god for the slip! It’s entirely transparent without it.

H&M dress; H&M leopard print scarf; H&M boyfriend blazer; H&M necklace (worn as bracelet); Old Navy sandals
P.S. H&M, call me. Clearly I either need 1) help staying away from your stores, or 2) you might as well help me support my habit.
H&M Garden Collection Dress!

Although the H&M store I visited didn’t have every piece from the Garden Collection (grr), I did manage to score a few items, including this gorgeous blue dress. The ruffles are so pretty, the color is so springy and it was wonderful walking through the street to work today with the warm sun on my poor, winterized legs.
P.S. I got about a million compliments, so I guess it was a good choice!

Above are my favorite pieces from Sonia Rykiel’s line for H&M. I haven’t seen it in person, so I’m just going off looks here. I was a bit underwhelmed, but there are some nice things available. Best of all is the kids stuff—it’s adorable.
I couldn’t find a price list, so I can’t provide you with those details, but please e-mail me if you know where I can see one.
What do you think?

I love H&M. It’s one of those stores that I can always find something in and it fits me like a dream. Even their pants are usually long enough for me, and that’s saying something!
Their spring “Garden Collection” is to-die-for gorgeous. I want everything. And I mean everything. H&M kinda fell into a rut this past year with (what I felt were) lackluster designer collaborations and exorbitant prices for Forever 21/Target-quality clothing that also lacked the on-trend style and design that H&M usually delivers on.
They might be winning me back! Maybe it’s because their prices seem to have leveled out a bit again (check out those fabulous dresses for only $20), maybe it’s because I just miss warm weather, but you can’t deny that these clothes are just stunning for a mass market, affordable clothing retailer.
Do you know the best part? This entire collection is made from environmentally adapted materials, like recycled polyester and organic cotton/linen.
I can’t wait until March, how about you?
P.S. Just in time for the big one-year wedding anniversary. What a coincidence!
