Remember this post about these pants?
They arrived and I like them! Very comfortable and a good length on me (something I’m always nervous about!).
Delia’s Olivia Low-Rise Colored Jegging in Fuchsia and Emerald, $19.99 each (from $44.50)

Post-baby, I’d love to find a great pair of red pants (FYI: there ain’t no point in buying pants 8.75 months pregnant), and I kind of love this super affordable wine-colored pair from Old Navy. They feel a little more winter-friendly than the bright tomato red pants we saw this summer and fall.
Treggings?

When I popped into H&M this weekend, I saw they had “spring treggings” on sale for about $13. I didn’t even bother trying them on, which would prove to be a not-so-great decision since they are a wee big…but I’m not about to quibble over $13.
I have to pause here to address the term “treggings.” It’s a terrible mash-up of trousers + leggings, thought up by some depraved fashion editor or marketing assistant and I really hate to use it. I used to feel the same way about the word “jegging,” but I overcame my distaste for the word when I realized how much I loved the actual pants. (Elastic-waist jeans! Those soccer moms had figured out all this time. And THAT is a sentence you’ll never see me write again!)
Anyway, I’ll use the word tregging on my blog, simply so you can tell what I’m talking about, whether it be denim, jeggings, trousers, treggings, leggings, etc., etc. But! Rest assured that I’ll be keeping the in-person use of “treggings” to a minimum. When I showed them to Brandon in the store, he said, “Treggings?! What the hell are treggings?” They’re $13 pants with an elastic waist and that’s all you need to know.
(This pair from H&M feels more like a pair of khaki skinny pants—a piece of clothing I wouldn’t normally classify as “trousers.” But to each their own!)

1. Scarf c/o Nimli
2. H&M peacoat
3. H&M treggings
4. Gryson for Target handbag
5. Payless flats
(Not pictured: H&M camisole and Forever 21 owl thermal.)
I’ve been dressing pretty casually the past few weeks since I’ve been very tired and not sleeping well. However, there’s nothing wrong with casual in my book and there is NEVER anything wrong with a comfy pair of flats.

[See what I mean about the pants being a little big? That’s what you get when you buy $13 treggings, people! :)]
Here’s how to get the look for yourself:

1. Forever 21 Owl Thermal, $13
2. Delias Peacoat, $44.50
3. Forever 21 Tank, $3.80
4. Delias Treggings, $44.50
5. Staring at Stars Oversized Scarf, $28
6. Target Patent Flats, $12.99

Plaid Tuesday.

I love stealing Brandon’s shirts. (This is one of his favorites, so don’t tell him!)
I am wearing a GENIUS pair of new jeggings from H&M that are so soft and comfortable (hurray for stretch waist bands <- a sentence I never thought I’d say) and even though it’s hot out today, I couldn’t resist wearing them and giving them a test run.

After I had the shirt on, I decided to put a tank on underneath in case I got hot running errands and wanted to shed a layer.

Much better! (And, just so you know—I did indeed shed the plaid shirt and ran the last half of my errands in the tank.)
Let’s also touch for a moment on something you are likely never to see again: my red lipstick. For some crazy, oddball reason I thought that I would give it a try again, knowing full well that red lipstick is not my thing. The only upside? At least it matched the shirt. (Another bonus: when you wear red lipstick, you don’t have to wear eye makeup. Pick and choose, guys, pick and choose. One or the other.)
I got startled when I looked in my car’s rearview mirror, though, and swiped a bit of it off on my hand and put on some red lip gloss instead. It’s going to take me some time to get used to the clown lips, but I have faith that one day I shall wear them confidently. Until then, gloss and lip balm it is!

One of your must-have items for fall should definitely be a pair of jeggings. The slim-cut look of leggings with the versatility of denim and the comfort of a pair of pajama pants. I promise—you’ll never go back to regular jeans again.
Bonus: jeggings are cheaper than traditional denim too. Here’s five pairs under $25!
From left to right:
- ASOS 70s Blue Jegging, $17
- Arden B Jegging, $20
- Target Jegging, $25
- Forever 21 Jegging, $15
- Forever 21 Wide Waistband Jegging, $16

I wear black skinny pants/jeans all the time. Black skinny jeggings? That’s a must-have.

So I got a lot of interest from the video I did on leggings that look like jeans. It’s really the best of both worlds: you get the versatile look of jeans with the immense comfort that are leggings! I can’t seem to bring myself to button up a pair of “real jeans” anymore. Those stretchy waists are just too tempting!
If you’re looking for a pair of jeggings, you’re in luck. They are easy to find, fairly inexpensive (especially when you consider how pricey jeans have become) and if you jump on the bandwagon now, you won’t have to deal with pesky “sold out” signs all over the place.
Here are some of my picks for jeggings:
- ASOS Warehouse - $59
- ASOS Religion - $37
- HUE Leggings with Side Snaps - $28
- HUE Denim Leggings - $28
- Nine West “Pully” - $59
- Joe’s Jeans “The Legging Jean” - $78
- INC “Denim Look” Leggings - $39
- Juicy Couture Zip-Hem Leggings - $98
- BDG Pull-On Denim Look Leggings - $39
