I’ve honestly never been tempted to pick up these Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips until now. These holiday colors and patterns are adorable (how cute would it be to do one on the disco nail and the rest plain red?).

An affordable way to add some color to your wardrobe is to take advantage of all the fun nail polish shades available right now. I love the bright pinks, reds, yellows and blues I’m seeing everywhere. These bright shades look best on shorter nails (trust me, I’ve tried them when my nails are longer and they’re a little reminiscent of Cruella-esque talons). They’re equally fun on fingers or toes and will match your friendship bracelets perfectly.

What nail polish brands/colors are you wearing right now?

I’ve been wearing this nail polish since high school. I saw it on my friend’s toes and went to Wal-Mart (yep, Wal-Mart) as soon as I could to grab a bottle for $1.50 or however much they were charging at the time.

Let me give you an idea of how amazing this color is. First, it’s a dusky, sexy pink. You’ll need several coats, but once you’ve got it on…it’s perfect. Second, it looks equally good on hands or feet. Third, it reminds me of January Jones’ ubiquitous pink shade she sports on Mad Men.

There are probably a million more shades like this that are better quality and go on in fewer coats, but I can’t give it up.
