I love resin jewelry. It’s easy to find at thrift shops and vintage stores, but it’s seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years too and now comes in all sorts of colors and styles. It’s often used to mimic jewel-like stones (see #1 and #9), but I think my favorite use is in bracelets (#8) and unusual earrings (#6).
Here are a few pieces I found under $100:
ASOS Necklace, $7.30
Trina Turk Ball Ring, $75
Kenneth Jay Lane Chandelier Earrings, $75
Rane Lapis Resin Ring, $50
Kate Spade Double Exposure Earrings, $78
Topshop Door Knocker Earrings, $28
House of Harlow 1960 Ring, $80
Lulu Frost for J.Crew Bangle, $40
Blu Bijoux Necklace, $24
House of Harlow 1960 Ring, $75
Kenneth Jay Lane Ring, $75

Sailor knot bracelets are a HUGE summer accessory. To me, they scream beach, salt water, sun, wavy hair, ice cream, seafood, fries, soft towels, bikinis—all the good stuff.
But how awesome is this spin-off: a sailor knot necklace!
Wear with your favorite striped dress (maybe this one?), a floppy hat and slightly-worn flip flops and you can pretend you’re at the beach, even if you’re not.
Nautical Necklace by BROOKLYNrehab on Etsy, $18 (plus $3 for shipping; if you order two or more items, shipping is free)

So, grab one of these pretty lockets for summer and snip a photo of your significant other, dog, cat, whatever you want and stick it inside. :)

Brandon bought me this necklace with a little “B” on it for Valentine’s Day to thwart my getting a tattoo—something I had mentioned to him a couple times recently.
Here’s how it goes:
Brandon: You’ll never decide on a design.
Me: Yes, I will.
Brandon: How often do you change your blog layout.
Me: Hmm.
Brandon: We can’t afford laser removal every 6 months when you want a new font or whatever.
Me: Hmm.
Long story short? Instead of a tattoo (he’s right about the font), he got me this darling necklace instead. I’ll put the tattoo thing to rest…for now.
P.S. Please ignore my hideously chipped nail polish. I wish I was keeping it like this to be “edgy”, but unfortunately it’s just laziness.

    Tracking Trends : Ornate Necklaces
Ladies: you can get away with a big, ‘ol ornate necklace at work a lot easier than you could with huge, dangly earrings. Necklaces somehow convey a creative fashion sense when worn oversized, while earrings simply say “gaudy” at best if done incorrectly at work.
These are all (ALL) from Forever 21 and I reckon that you could buy nearly all of them for the price of one similar style from your favorite department store. Happy shopping.
