So, I went a little 80’s on this…

At first glance it’s maybe (okay, it IS) too much Basic Instinct 80’s fun going on, but I’d actually wear this outfit in a hot second. If you wear your hair messy and don’t go too nuts on the makeup, it would look like one of those, “Oh yeah, I just grabbed everything and rushed out the door” looks that everyone is secretly jealous of the whole evening. (Make sure the dress isn’t too fitted or else it will also have that “I’m a hooker” look.)

The wine-colored shoes are also fun because most women tend to wear nude or gold-colored shoes with a gold dress, and while that makes sense, it’s also a little monochromatic. If you want more coverage, wear black tights with the outfit and switch out the coat for something more mod, like a sleek black trench.

As for the leopard coat…you’re already wearing gold sequins, so why not?
